General Life Update

I am currently attending an orientation for the university I plan on attending in the fall semester. I'm so bored, I wrote a blog post rather than paying attention.
I got so busy I forgot I even had a blog. I will use this time to just give a general life update, instead of a specific topic or story.
Activities I've been doing:
đLast week, I had 3 consecutive days off work! :) That is the first time in a while. I finally had some time to spend with my friends.
đOn Tuesday, I got a tattoo! I had been contemplating a new tattoo for a long time, and I finally had the money to pull the trigger! I had a very frustrating experience with a tattoo artist, whom I was planning on giving $175. He's the kind of guy to take hours to respond to a text and only answer one of the multiple questions you've asked. I ghosted him. I went to a tattoo artist my friend suggested and only paid $110 after a $30 tip! They also gave me a discount as I traded some of my prints for it! They were super nice, fast, and flexible. Big fan.

đOn Wednesday, I celebrated my 1000-day anniversary with my boyfriend (who recently moved in). We went to Chinatown, got Kobe beef and wagyu beef with all-you-can-eat hot pot, went to the largest asian market in the area, got a delicious drink, and saw Obsession in the evening. To top it all off, I won my very first claw machine and got an Ocha-Ken keychain.

đOn Thursday, I went to Mitsuwa Market and Kinokuniya with my friend, Maxine. It was her birthday (the big 21) recently, so I bought her coffee, lunch, and some alcohol. I got omurice, pork katsu, and curry! In Kinokuniya, I got 3 Tamagotchi keychains. They were blind bags, and I got all of the ones I wanted! There are others I want, so I may just have to buy them individually on eBay. I had a lot of fun with her and, as always, had fun shopping.

đLast Friday, I went to a super duper fun rave with my friends and yapped all night! That's all I've ever wanted. I thought my friends didn't fw me anymore because I goobered, but all is well!

đOver the weekend, I went to Missouri again for my cousin's wedding. I finally had an excuse to wear my broken pearl Vivienne Westwood necklace that I spent too much money on. The wedding itself was extremely Christian and therefore sexist towards the bride. They said the word "submit" directed to her at least 5 times. It was more like a sermon than a wedding speech. I was pure torment as a feminist and anti-religious individual. However, I looked cute and got unlimited free alcohol. Got white girl wasted and stoned at the ultra-Christian wedding. I wouldn't have it any other way.

đI have been working on a moe commission recently that, due to my lack of motivation, is taking longer than expected. I have been a busy bee and am starting to HATE drawing in that style. I feel a bit bad because they paid extra just because they thought I deserved it. I'll have time to lock in today. I just want to get done with the line art and finish coloring the skin today.
Random Purchases:
đI went to my hometown in Missouri, I think, a month ago. I went thrifting and yard saling for the entirety of the time I was there. I bought an adorable set of handmade
floor poufs, a super cute purse and wallet set, some Y2K style clothes, jewelry, and a Kate Spade purse for only $8! My dad also got us a huge seafood boil lol.

đI recently visited my favorite curated vintage clothing store and bought 3 tops. A super unique corset top and 2 teeny tiny tops that were imported from Italy. I ended up spending $150.... Shoutout Bodega Vintage in Wicker Park, Chicago.

đI found an AMAZING vintage Alice + Olivia wrap sweater at my job that retailed for about $350. I got it for only $2.50!!!!!

đI plan on doing a bit of online shopping today hehehe.....
Work:
đI have been pretty swamped with work. I often feel like my boss does not respect my time and prioritizes his own schedule over everyone else's. He is a super kind and generous guy, but working under him is very frustrating and often gets under my skin. I was promised a pay raise, but we then hired unnecessary help. Now I do not get a pay raise. I don't even need a raise, but it's so frustrating when it is promised to me and just thrown away. He promised to buy me dinner to make up for it. That honestly does make me feel better. I love nice food.
đWe are planning to open a new location soon. Hopefully, we will have that complete by the end of the year. I will be managing that new location by myself, and I feel like I have not been properly trained for that at all. I guess there is still time for that.
đWe are getting a new shipment by the end of this month. I was able to get my friend temporarily hired to help out. That will make the mad stressful event a bit more fun. Hopefully, I'll find new cute stuff. I always do.
đMy bosses are going to Japan in November for work. I'm jealous. Hoping I can go next time.
